while a burst of staccato fireworks lights up the sky of your spirit.
You open your eyes to find four musicians before you:
a vocalist, a double bassist, a pianist, and a tenor saxophonist.
With resonant strings, bow, and baton, they place an orchestra in your mind,
whose instrumentation you alone can determine—chamber ensemble, string orchestra, or baroque consort—awaiting your direction.
Every gesture, every note invites you to shape the unseen,
to give form to hidden sounds, yet leave them unspoken.
